ACRYLIC WILDERNESS with Ellen Hahs
Feb. 5, 12, 19, 26, Mar. 5 and 12, 2025
6 - 8:30pm
This 6-week art class incorporates a variety of mini lessons inspired by the woods and wildlife. Portray the effects of gleaming light, faded distant tree lines, animal eyes with reflections, fascinating fur, and close textured trees using acrylics. Supplies are provided.
Ellen Hahs Flentge will lead this class. "Admiring nature and portraying it in paint is a skill you can begin at any age. The trick is to compare lights to darks, warm and cool colors, and get a representation of what your subject is," she says.
Many who have taken her classes feel at ease with her teaching style. She will point out why a portion of an image works or why it doesn't. Whether you like realism or loose abstract, she can nurture your artistic desire.
Preregister by February 3, 2025. Call (573) 621-8729 for info and registration.
Presented by Malone Park Center for the Arts, 132 W. Center St., Sikeston, Mo 63801.
