Saturday, May 3, 2025, 1:00 pm

The Labyrinth at Abbey Road

On Saturday, May 3, 2025, thousands of people will participate in the 17th Annual World Labyrinth Day as a moving meditation for peace and celebration of the labyrinth experience. You are invited to join in this walk at The Labyrinth at Abbey Road (2411 Abbey Rd, Cape Girardeau, MO) at 1:00 pm as we “Walk as One at 1” creating a rolling wave of peaceful energy passing from one time zone to the next around the globe. This international event, held on the first Saturday each May, is sponsored by The Labyrinth Society in collaboration with partner organizations including the Australian Labyrinth Network, Legacy Labyrinth Project, and Veriditas.

Labyrinths are found throughout the world with the oldest dating back thousands of years. In contemporary use, labyrinths provide an opportunity for personal reflection, spiritual practice, the reduction of stress, and the experience of transformation. Over 6,000 labyrinths are listed on the World-Wide Labyrinth Locator website: labyrinthlocator.com. The Labyrinth at Abbey Road, which was dedicated in 2006 for use by the community and its visitors, is listed in the labyrinth locator. There have been visitors who have walked it from many locations including foreign countries as documented in its journals.

This event is free and open to all. Finger labyrinths will be available for use by anyone not wishing to walk. You are welcome to walk The Labyrinth on the grounds of Abbey Road Christian Church (DOC), 2411 Abbey Road, Cape Girardeau, MO, at any time.
