Past: Christmas Cookie Walk
Old Appleton Bridge
The second annual Christmas Cookie Walk will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 at Apple Creek bridge in Old Appleton. There will be tables filled with goodies stretching more than 100 feet across the 1879 bridge. Cookies, brownies, hot cocoa and more will be offered. The bridge will be illuminated by special lighting and Christmas music will add to the atmosphere. Fire pits will provide warmth. Joining the celebration will be Mudcat Food Truck, Ron's Butcher Shop and Apple Creek Vineyard and Winery with food and drink available for purchase. Parking will be available for visitors on the north side of the bridge rather than in town. The non-for-profit Friends of Apple Creek Bridge is sponsoring the event. Freewill donations will be accepted. The funds will be invested in preserving the bridge, establishing a set of cultural heritage panel signs and more to recognize the unique local history.
