Friday Night Dance with Latin Bachata Lesson

Friday, September 13th – 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

"Bachata is a social couple dance with a lead and follow that can be performed in open, semi-closed or closed position. The basic step involves an eight-count side-to-side movement, with many variations and styles that can be added. On counts 4 and 8, Bachata includes an exaggerated hip check that gives it a characteristic look." Wikipedia.

You may come to Cape Ballroom without a dance partner.

We have a group of men and a group of ladies to dance with.

Just $5 per person at the door, cash only. No bills over $20, please. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.

The evening begins at 7:00 p.m. with a 30-minute dance lesson, followed by dancing to mixed ballroom music. Line dances included.

No smoking. No alcohol. Water is available.

Cape Ballroom Friday Night Dances are held from 7-9 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 2731 Thomas Drive, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
