Past: Heartland Writers Guild to Meet

The Heartland Writers Guild will meet Sunday, September 15 from 2-4 pm at the First Presbyterian Church 235 Broadway in Cape Girardeau, Mo. A presentation will be given by Charlotte Slinkard, curator of the Cape Girardeau Heritage Museum and author of "The Girardeans". Slinkard will discuss the obstacles and surprises she discovered when researching the family of Jean Pierre Girardeau, who eventually became the namesake of the city of Cape Girardeau. Anyone interested in writing and getting published is invited to attend.
