2024 brings the second year for the Friends of Huntington's Social in Kelso at the Scott City KC Hall on April 20, 2024, from 4 to 10. Event includes 50/50, Silent Auction, Cornhole Tournament, Food, and much more. Additional details can be found on the attached document.
Huntington's is a devastating, hereditary, degenerative brain disorder that results in a loss of cognitive, behavioral, and physical control, and for which, presently, there is no cure. Today, there are approximately 41,000 symptomatic Americans and more than 200,000 at-risk. Huntington’s disease is described as having ALS, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s – simultaneously. Each of their siblings and children has a 50 percent risk of developing the disease.
Team Hope Walk is essential for so many reasons, among them advocacy, research, and education.
