Past: Trencher Bowl Carving

Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center

Registration period: January 19 - February 23

Missouri’s original settlers were very independent and self-sufficient. If they needed an item for their home they usually found a way to make it using materials provided by nature. Kitchen items were no exception. With this in mind, join the Southeast Conservation Educators and learn how to carve a trencher bowl using a Missouri hardwood. This program is designed for ages 18 and up. This is considered an intermediate woodworking class and previous experience with hand tools is required.
