Past: Sewing Cross Body "Charlie Sling Bag"

Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum

Sewing Cross Body Bags

June 14, 21, and 28

Preregistration, online pattern purchase, and supplies are required.

Preregister online at semo.edu/museum by selecting "Enroll in Class" and choosing a start time 9am, 10am, 1pm, or 2pm.

Note: select "pay later" (but you really won't).

Participants will sew and complete at least one cross-body bag using the Charlie Sling Bag pattern with guidance from Ellen Flentge. The bags make great gifts and can be stylized to have a motif such as sporty, bohemian, western, animals, music, pop culture, etc. Examples will be shown. Specific supplies are dependent on the bag style. Bring your sewing machine or borrow a loaner.

Each Friday through the year, you may drop in the museum to Stitch at Crisp. Socialize and share your creative efforts with like-minded makers.

Crisp Museum is located inside the Cultural Arts Center of Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus at 518 S. Fountain St., Cape Girardeau, MO.
