Past: Cape Girardeau County Genealogical Society Meeting

Join us for our next meeting at 7 p.m., November 28. This is one of our meetings that occurs via Zoom, and we are delighted to announce that our speaker is Doug Fugate. Frugate is the First Families Chairman for the Missouri State Genealogical Association (MoSGA), and will speak on "Instructions on Submitting a MoSGA First Family Application for a Pioneer, Territorial, Civil War, or War of 1812 Certificate." Not only will you learn how to participate in this program, but how to view and glean family information from past applications. Doug will present how to avoid common errors of submissions and how to submit follow-on submissions and avoid duplicate work. He is a retired First Sergeant, U.S. Army and a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas. He has two children and three grandchildren. He and his wife, Pat, live in Saint Robert, Missouri.
